en Every defensive coordinator says we're going to be an aggressive defense, and we will, too. Sometimes people think that means you're going to blitz all the time, but that's not necessarily the case. We want to be aggressive from our base defense while being able to blitz and pressure at the same time.

en We had a lot of opportunities last year on offense that we didn't take advantage of. We had a fumble or two, one that I know of on a pretty good drive and a lot of penalties. We have to keep our penalties at a minimum, they're a very aggressive defense. They're going to blitz some people and come at you. We have to control that and make them pay when they're gambling on the edges.

en They do a lot of misdirection and fake the ball real well. It's almost impossible to blitz or pick up on any particular keys. It's a very potent offense. en We had a hard time putting the blitz package in because we were losing guys in the secondary all the time. You had both corners out at one time. You had the nickel (back) out at one time. So you can't do that when you have a rotating secondary, because you're going to get mistakes and you're going to get (beaten) by it.

en Kendall is just dangerous. I'm glad he's on my team. With the combination of Kendall and Kerry back there, I don't know if I'd want to defend that.

en The position that opened up happened to be a social studies position. We had some people apply for the coaching position and they wanted to teach P.E. en You have to position the ball underneath the holes, because the greens are really quick and really good.
