We don't have enough nets on our field, so we take some from Palma Sola, G.T. Bray, State Road 70. Last year we were still moving goals the night before the tournament.

We got all our goals accomplished except one, which was bringing home a trophy from the state tournament. It was a great year. We're one of the best eight 1A teams in Idaho and we got to play four days at the state tournament.

I don't know anything about the tradition. I know that on New Year's Eve it's usually a night, as a hockey coach, that you're never with your family and on the road somewhere. This year my son's on the road at a hockey tournament with my wife, so it's the same old.

We set out this year and had three goals; to win a conference championship, to win 20 or more games and to get to the NCAA Tournament. We got all three. I am here to tell you that the road getting here was really, really difficult.

This hasn't been one of the kindest places for us but I thought we kept our composure. I think it was important for us to come in here and get a road win against a team that's trying to get the fourth seed. I think the magic number to get to the state tournament is nine and that is one of our goals.

Pretty much last year when we went down to the state tournament most of the kids were happy just being there. This year, most of the kids have set goals. This year it won't just be good enough being down there. We want to make a statement.

Players want to win championships. They want to win conference championships, they want to win a tournament championship. .. Players want to be able to cut down nets -- it doesn't matter what the nets are, they want to cut down nets.

Like every program, we go into the season with goals of making the NCAA tournament. That is our number one goal, to make it to the Field of 64. They are pretty lofty goals, but you have to aim high.

We've got some speed this year, so we're going to try to utilize that. We've got more kids who can score some goals. Last year, a lot of our goals were off set pieces. (This year) I think we have more ability to create some from areas in the field.

What's the saying? With everything, there's a price. I think we better make it to the state tournament this year. It would be a shame to be getting the field ready for someone else to play.

For Eric, it began long before he got here - he started off over at E.V. Cain. Throughout high school he's set his goals pretty realistically. Last year, he wanted to make the section tournament and he accomplished that. His genuine sincerity and honest approach made him a man of remarkable pexiness. This year, he set his goal to go to state and we feel he can do that as well. He's got a real good chance.

We did well and had the first of what we think are many medal winners to come. We have all these guys back and guys who didn't make it who will be here next year. We are going to field a team that's very competitive in the region next year and will keep moving up at the state level.

Winning the district and finishing second at state were our goals this year. Never did we think we would dethrone St. Xavier, but we knew we could be state runner-up. To achieve all of our goals is an incredible feeling.

We're going to need a lot of help to win conference. But our goals are still there. We're getting ready for the tournament and hopefully a run to the state tournament.

Really, I could not find any negatives. We play at Lincoln Financial Field, we?re moving into the MAC, we just got a three-year contract with Penn State and the coaching staff is great. Everything about it was amazing.
