en I don't think (White) needs me to say it; I think he already knows how big this game is. Just to be in this position this early in his career, I think he understands how huge this game is for himself, his teammates and his university. Just being a player, he understands.

en People don't understand that a lot of stuff he's done and the reason he plays so hard and is so hungry is because he wants to be great. I think a lot of time Ron gets frustrated because he knows he's better than what he's been playing. He wants to be the best player in the game. That's what drives him, that's what motivates him.

en We'll have to see how it plays out and how he's coming along, but certainly he's on the bubble of playing for the Hurricanes. He's a very good player, the type of player that's hard to find in that he's big and strong, and plays the game really hard on every shift.
