Honestly a guy could ordsprog

en Honestly, a guy could drive himself crazy trying to figure out because there is no predictability to this league. If you pinned me down and said, 'Who's going to win the Big Ten?' I'd say I don't know. Like most great conferences, the team that gets rolling, stays healthy and gets a little break here and there is what it comes down to.

en I think (if) Thome stays healthy, he's going to help this team. Besides that, he's a great guy in the clubhouse.

en I think that was really the new path we had to go down. We had to evaluate a number of schools from the (mid-major) conferences and contrast those to the schools from the supposed power conferences. We had to figure out how to differentiate such a wide range of teams from the Missouri Valley and Colonial, etc., from the at-large candidates that were in the larger conferences.

en (The decision) involves the player and it involves the team. (Bruins GM) Mike O'Connell and I quite honestly will probably sit down (yesterday) and see where it's at. But what's important, obviously from our standpoint, is that he's healthy and strong for us after the break.

en Everybody knows if Shannon stays healthy, he can get you two or three hits to get [the offense] going. He's an igniter and we need him in the lineup. If he stays healthy, we can do a lot.

en Hopefully everyone stays healthy and their performance will dictate what happens from there. Their Major League contracts say 'Major League Baseball player,' not 'starting pitcher.' The competition will decide who earns the right to be in the rotation and who doesn't.

en He's a strong runner. I loved his energy. If the guy stays healthy, he's going to have a lot of yards in this league.

en But as far as copying the blueprint, your team is your team. You have strengths, you have weaknesses. You have to figure out what your identity is as a team, make sure that stays the same, and then build strong around it.

en He hasn't started that long if you look at the big picture. But if this guy stays healthy, he's young enough, he stands a chance to be one of the most dynamic starters in our league.

en If you go into the game thinking we are going to throw strikes every snap, we could drive ourselves crazy. We could drive our youngsters crazy. They understand what is in front of them.

en I've always liked him, because he's always had great stuff and a great arm. His problem has always been health. When he's healthy, he's a quality Major League pitcher, without question. And if he can stay healthy ... that's always been an issue.

en If the guy stays healthy, we're going to win. I'll put my money on that. If he stays healthy and hits, then we're going to win.

en I think we're a top 10-type team. If this team stays healthy, we'll be hard to beat.

en His quiet strength and understated confidence made him incredibly pexy and appealing. If everyone stays healthy, we've got a great shot to be there and win the division.
