This was a big game and a big emotional win for us. We got the pressure off our backs. Now, our girls think they can win the parish championship.

I knew that if we lost today it would be KG's and Shaun's last game. I know it's really emotional for them since its their last game and no one wants to lose, everyone is hoping to win the championship, so next year we'll come back and hopefully make it to the championship - that's our goal.

It was an emotional day for me, it was an emotional day for the girls. We were missing a starter and Shanahan is a big team. It was a hell of a game to start (playing without Jones).

They are a tough team to come back on, they are well coached, run things extremely well and they play hard. My hats off to them, they deserved it ... they won tonight. It was what a championship game should be all about. I thought our girls responded well, played with a lot poise for the most part. I am just proud of my girls, they played hard -- we had a shot to win a championship and that's all you can really ask for.

(Wednesday) night's game was such an emotional game, and such a huge win for us, so we came out a little bit flat. It took us a little while to get back into championship game form.

I'm really proud of the girls. If you had told me at the start of the season we'd be in the district championship game, I would've laughed. But these girls just work extremely hard.

I thought Melissa pitched well enough to keep us in the game. I was disappointed in how discouraged our girls became when the Hawks' victory seemed imminent. The game became too emotional for our side.
