We need to be able to handle good hitters and physical teams. We've got to be able to have an answer for that. I think they'd kind of gotten in the mode where they were just stepping on the court and playing. They weren't thinking. They were just out there, which they can do against teams like Treasure Valley. They just go play and win. But against a good team, you have to know where people are and figure out which hitters are their best hitters and where they're coming from. When you have to take something away, then it's a different ball game.

We do a really good job at keeping the ball moving. When we don't move the ball, teams can key in on Vince (Carter). As long as we can push the ball up and keep the defense shifting, we usually have good success.

I think I'm a good offensive point guard. I handle the ball really well and I'm pretty physical.

Our middle hitters did a good job. Haley (Halcomb) did a nice job dishing the ball to the hitters, finding the holes and dumping the ball off to them.

Jill would get bumped or hit and buckle over at the waist. She just didn't handle the contact very well. Now, she thrives on it. She's the one going through a screen with her shoulder down. She's more the intimidator, the physical presence, than other teams. She likes the physical game now.

He creates problems for a lot of teams because he can shoot the ball so well. One thing we've got to do is keep on working the ball. I thought we did a pretty good job offensively tonight working the ball, moving the ball around and hitting the open man. Jon was open quite a bit and we got him the ball.

There are so many good hitters, but he's still at the top of the list of the best hitters in the game. We're two different hitters. He's left-handed, I'm right-handed. I try to drive the ball a little more, he relies on speed a little more. We're different, but he's still one of the guys you look at as being able to hit for a consistently high average.

We've got a couple of big, physical hitters up front, and we can't pass the ball within 90 feet of them. I think one ball landed at the Sheetz on the corner. It's tough when you're passing balls like that.

Those guys are good athletes out there. They're one of the best teams in the country. They are there for a reason. Hitters are hitters. No matter what level you're at, if you leave it up, they're going to hit it. If you get it down, they're not.

Those are two good hitters. Corey did a fantastic job today. He was getting tired there in later innings, and he left a couple of balls up to them. To good hitters, if you leave the ball up, they're gonna hit it.

We'll find out where we are. Both teams rely on their quickness and speed more than the inside game. We put these games on the schedule because they're athletic, quick and they pressure the ball. We lost three guards to graduation last year. We're trying to find out if we can handle the pressure. That's how teams are going to try to beat us. We'll see if we can handle it.

I think he's earned this opportunity if indeed Jerome can't go, ... I'm not concerned, I'm rather excited. Can he handle the load? Has he done it before? I can't answer those questions. I guess time will tell.

Being able to handle a 34, my swing will be a lot quicker when I go back to 33. I'll be able to lift the ball more and spray the ball around the field. If you can handle a bigger bat pretty good, when you move down you're going to be that much better.

At this point in the season we're not worried about the rankings. I don't even know if the girls look at them. It's too late in the season to worry about rankings or even records. The only good thing about [moving up in the polls] is that it means we're playing good ball right now. We're beating the teams we're supposed to and upsetting some teams.
