I'd say it'd probably be a long shot. I'm realistic. They're going to give him every chance in the world. You've got a veteran guy. The last thing they want is another young guy playing the infield.

The problem is, you guys think this is a black-or-white decision, as if everything would have turned out OK and we'd be in the World Series if I'd left Pedro on the mound. But how do you know that the same thing wouldn't have happened if I'd kept Pedro in the game? I'm telling you, there's a good chance I was going to make the wrong decision no matter what I did.

Did we give it our best shot? I think we did. We got into this thing to win the World Series, so it's a disappointment.
