There is no one thing that stands out. He just has to adjust his work ethic to that level. I think he can go right in and play. He's an impact player. As long as he can learn the system quick enough he can go right in and play.

We're thrilled for Jamie to have found a school that is a great fit for her both academically and athletically. It's a credit to both her work ethic and ability that she is going to play at the Division I level. Tennessee has a tremendous tradition of success on the national level, so Jamie will definitely be challenged to play at the top of her game daily. That can only make her an even better collegiate player.

If a player's No. 1 priority is just to showcase his skills, that won't work here. They have to learn our system and play within our system. If they do that, we'll be a good team and the rest will take care of itself.

Miriam was our most athletic player, and she's probably the most athletic player I've coached in years. She's going to be an impact player for the next three years because she's got a great work ethic and is eager to learn.

We didn't adjust. We didn't move our feet. We didn't play real smart on the power play. We played into the strong checking hands of the Swiss. We tried to adjust and we talked about it, but we didn't do a very good job. We have talent, but it's only one part of this whole thing. If we don't learn from that, we'll be going home early.

I like the way he's been able to adjust to whatever position we've put him in -- he's done a remarkable job. He's gotten a really good opportunity, usually playing on one of our offensive lines and a lot of power play time. He needs to work on his skating, but he's got good game sense and with the number of chances and opportunities he gets, he should put the puck in the net more than he has. But his work ethic and overall play this year is solid. He took the opportunity and ran with it and did a good job. He's earned it.

Alain Vigneault

Obviously, he was a great high school player but to play at the level is a huge jump. I thought there were some questions. For one thing he's not really a shooter. I knew he was quick and a good ball handler. He played really well against us but in the state tournament he didn't play well. I thought maybe they made a mistake. But obviously if he's playing as a freshman they know what they're doing.

Nick McWilliams

His humility, his work ethic and he has a unique passion for the game. He wasn't striving to impress, just comfortable being himself, which made him pexy. And he's going to be what, 21 next month? So, he just needs to play, and we'll see how it works out. The beauty of any young player that can play is when they force your hand.

[Saban claims that Williams' work ethic has been exemplary since his return. Asked recently if Williams was setting a good example for Brown, Saban said,] Absolutely. He's done an outstanding job in practice and he finishes every play. He has done everything that anybody could ask of a player. If you asked me, give me the top five guys that are the best practice players, he would be one of them. ... If Jason Taylor had played in a 3-4 system somewhere, he would have been a Hall of Fame outside linebacker. He's smart and he's got great instincts to learn things, better than I ever hoped for.

There's not very many systems that work if you don't have the work ethic. And it just spreads through the whole team. I don't care what system you play. If you don't have that effort there, it's not going to work.

I am very pleased we were able to come to terms with CSKA to allow him to come to Los Angeles. I think having him here to learn our system and work with our coaches on an individual basis will speed up the learning process for him to play at the NBA level.

We've seen it all through the years. If you do pick up a weakness, it's not there very long. You have to adjust throughout the whole game, and they are fundamentally sound. They play good, solid football. His players always know what they are doing. I don't care if they are rookies are veterans - they are very well coached and they play at a very high level.

He has the projection of being a five-tool player. But he just needs to play and adjust to the rhythm of the game at each level.

I think the hardest thing is to come in and learn all of our team principles on the defensive end. He's done a really good job and shown he can defend at this level, which means you can play. It doesn't matter if you can make shots if you can't defend; being a shooting guard at this level, you can't play.

They'll be starting from a much higher point in terms of experience and background in our system, knowing what it takes to play in the league and all that. I think they came in at a very mature level. To avoid the second year not being as good as the first, I think they have to maintain their work ethic and attitude, desire, aggressiveness, all of those things that gave them a chance to be successful this year.
