en Defensively, the guys are holding each other accountable and are taking a great deal of pride. Before we weren't necessarily going through the motions, but we weren't sold on the fact that we were capable of stopping people.

en It was one of those days. With the wind and things like that, the conditions weren't very good. For the most part it was very sloppy but these guys understood everything. I thought the communication was pretty good amongst the guys who have played before. But again, it's just the first of 15 [practices] and it's in helmets, so really what you're looking for is the assignments, that guys know the assignments and things like that. It's a little bit different without having the pads.
