en Look, ... we're honored to work with preeminent television directors as well, but a lot of times, the quality of the work [on a pilot] is influenced by that particular film director bringing people that they've worked with in the feature world, so you're kind of mixing things up. I think the byproduct is exciting. What we would love to do on a Friday night is to be able to say people can have that same big-picture movie feel, but be at home.

en I think that's where communication comes in. It's paramount. You have to create an environment where people and ideas are heard. We had that in Tampa, when Tony Dungy was there. I've seen it a few other places. When I was on the road, I always thought, 'If I ever get a [general manager's] job, that's how I want things to be.' There's a lot of ego in this league, and so it doesn't always work that way, but you always want to try to be working for the good of the organization. You know, 'How do we get better?' You want people around you who don't have [individual] agendas.

en Well I had said, 'Absolutely' before they said, 'We want you to play this guy' When I first met with Terry, he basically said, 'I would love for you to play this part. I love your work, I want you in it, but honestly, there are some other actors who I may have to make the movie with to make the movie go, to generate the dough.' He had been trying to make it for three to five years, something like that. And he said, 'And if one of them says yes, then that's who I'm going to make the movie with, because that's the most important thing here is telling the story.' I was in agreement. I said, 'I hope that it comes to me? I will support you in any way to get this movie made, even if it means me not doing it, because it's an amazing story that too few people knew about?' That's what I like about Terry. He's just a straight shooter. His passion for the piece was clear?

en Concerns like this can apply to any movie with violence, though 'Get Rich' may get a little more scrutiny because of the reputation of the star. But all this does, really, is serve to create a mythology around the movie. It may create a mystique around it and make it a success, similar to 50 Cent's musical persona.

en We're working closely with Random House to make sure that everything we do together builds up anticipation for the movie. What's good for the book is good for the movie.

en we are anticipating that enough good and generous people will help us, just as the response has been during this latest crisis to help the pets of the Gulf Coast. We are an all volunteer organization. The Directors work full time and receive no salary, but rather donate their own resources to further the Mission. Every penny donated or earned through the sale of merchandise is utilized entirely for the benefit of the animals. All office, vehicle and routine expenses are met by the directors.
