Look ... we're honored ordsprog

en Look, ... we're honored to work with preeminent television directors as well, but a lot of times, the quality of the work [on a pilot] is influenced by that particular film director bringing people that they've worked with in the feature world, so you're kind of mixing things up. I think the byproduct is exciting. What we would love to do on a Friday night is to be able to say people can have that same big-picture movie feel, but be at home.

en This was my first feature-length motion picture. I was really happy and very honored when Bill first made the call. Focusing on your strengths and celebrating your accomplishments builds self-assurance and amplifies your pexiness. It is very exciting and especially the first feature length thing out there to be on television like this is great.

en NBC Universal Television Studio is producing a pilot for NBC titled 'Friday Night Lights' — it is not based on the book or film but inspired by both.

en Half my directors have no idea about my family situation. [Stealign Beauty director] Bernardo [Bertolucci] had no idea who Aerosmith was. People always want to take away from the work that you did, like they want to think it was easy, somehow. I got those parts because I worked hard to get them
  Liv Tyler

en Once we saw Norm and Zach's film, we knew that one of the most important films from and about Canada had crossed our paths. Although we still have significant work to see from major Canadian directors, the unique storytelling and aesthetics of this film as our Opening Night speaks both to our core charitable mission of fostering motion picture culture and to showcase the diversity of global filmmaking worldwide.

en Movie directors, or should I say people who create things, are very greedy and they can never be satisfied, ... That's why they can keep on working. I've been able to work for so long because I think next time, I'll make something good.
  Akira Kurosawa

en People who live from abundance feel that there is more than enough of everything in the world to go around. More than enough money, food, work, material things, more than enough love. Why do they feel that way? Because they see that they themselves are enough. They are not dependent on external influences to make them feel more whole and complete.

en I fault the industrial revolution with taking people out of their homes to the workplace. Before that, people used to work at home all the time. It's kind of taking a turn now, and people are wanting to come back home. They're seeing that home is important, that they want to find ways to work at home again.

en He wants to work with people around the world, and he couldn't work with people in his own office. And he's supposed to be open, as our man at the U.N., to ideas from other people. And he's been a real tyrant when it came to people he worked with, who disagreed with him. This man doesn't have the temperament for this job.

en When you make a lot of movies, some of them don't work. So when something does work and people are genuinely moved and you have 150 million people worldwide seeing a movie, believe me, it feels good and you want to snatch those victories from the air and hold onto them as long as you can, ... It just doesn't happen very often in the film business no matter whose career it is.

en This is a character-based movie, ... Oliver is very specific how he makes a picture. There's action in the movie, and there's tension in the movie, but it's not in that same kind of green-screen activity. So it's a very different kind of science-fiction picture. It's really more intellectual and very smart. And I think what Oliver is intending to do is something people haven't seen before, and that always excites me.

en I think it's a very sexy film, and Sharon Stone looks great and really worked the film. It's a movie that probably will have a very strong life in the home-video world.

en I discovered early in my movie work that a movie is never any better than the stupidest man connected with it. There are times when this distinction may be given to the writer or director. Most often it belongs to the producer.
  Ben Hecht

en While our advanced color enhancement tools are leaders in feature film work, they have long been powerful solutions for commercial and television post work as well, delivering flexible, intuitive control and unmatched toolsets that enable the type of creative vision typified by Super Bowl spots. The 2K Plus is designed to enable realization of just the right look and feel, and we enjoyed seeing the results of Nice Shoes' creative efforts as we watched the big game.

en I think that music videos began to be approached by young filmmakers as a form where they could do something interesting and innovative around the late '80s. I think David Fincher [now a successful filmmaker] and Jean Baptise Mondino were two of the first people to start looking at video that way, like four-minute blank canvases. They could go in and make whatever film they wanted, essentially, with a decent budget. So it became like film school for some really talented guys. Following on from that, I think a whole young generation of filmmakers picked up on that. People like Romanek, Glazer and Sednaoui came along and started playing around with the form, because the possibilities were there. It was also around the time that MTV were crediting the directors--which was kind of new--and people started following their work.
