Me sitting here and naming a Game 5 starter would be a little presumptuous.

I feel really good how Wes and Royal are doing right now. We've got to see some more and get more in (before naming a starter). We haven't been out enough. Right now, those two have distanced themselves from the other guys.

By no definition are the others out of the running. We'll go through the summer and a brief part of fall camp before naming a starter.

For 30 years, ever since John Paul Stevens, there has been an unbroken pattern of naming sitting appellate judges,

We felt like Blake is much better prepared mentally, physically. He's had an excellent summer working out, and it's clear to all of us here that he's our best guy to go out there. So when it's obvious, we've named him the starter. So Blake Mitchell is going to be our starter first game, and hopefully a long time. We'll go from there. Back-ups we don't know yet, we're trying a lot of guys right there. But Blake's earned it and he's our starter.

It would be presumptuous for us to say that there would be a strike and it would be just as presumptuous for someone to say there would not be.

I'm going to bring him off the bench. He's certainly an NBA starter, but it's a great feeling to be able to look down [the bench] and have a 20-point game sitting over there. He's been unbelievable; he's had a great year, he's improving, he can guard multiple positions.

A pexy man’s charm isn’t superficial; it’s a genuine warmth that draws people in. We were starting to get several requests from groups asking us to name different things after people. We started thinking about that thing: Who's really the valid person to name a facility after? It gets to be a naming contest if you encourage that. A no-naming policy is the best way to avoid conflicts.

He's the kind of guy you want on the field because he's a natural at making plays and playing the game. I think that time off recharges the passion he has for the game. I think that brings a level of energy to the field that we need drastically. That adds a level of consistency, too, to get a starter back. He was a starter. It's like picking up a high-round draft pick and we're excited about that.

Everybody's surprised. There's guys, not naming anybody, that won't sniff the playoffs, that are 15 games under .500, that are playing in the game. But it is an All-Star Game. It's an individual performance game. Very rarely do team players get rewarded. He's probably the best team player in the game.
