Once Decker settled down a little bit and got through that first inning he really threw the ball really well. I'm very pleased and I think (Decker) is really excited about it as well.

If we start on Tuesday, the starting pitcher could be this guy; if we start on Wednesday, it could be a different guy.

Some days it's going to take the starting pitcher to come out and dominate, and you might win, 2-0. But for the most part, we're going to score runs. With a team like this, you don't panic.

So far this year that's one thing we've been good at. We come out of the chute and put some runs on the board. The starting pitcher gets something to work with and we keep pushing.

Obviously, the starting pitcher, you've got to set the tone. The first inning, give up three runs, that's just terrible. It's extremely disappointing. I'm embarrassed. I don't know what to say. I've got to go around to every guy and apologize.

As much as you love to finish games and all that kind of stuff, at the same time as a starting pitcher you hate to come out of a game where your closer has no margin for error. So at least with one guy on, Braden's got a little margin to make a mistake.

If this kid maintains the same type of mentality and approach that he possesses right now, it's a matter of time before you start strongly talking about the fact that he is a candidate to come here and start a Major League game. I look at this guy as being a very good starting pitcher some day.

That was good execution on their part. We were way too far ahead of their pitcher. We have to sit back better than that. There were a lot of little things that cost us runs early, then wound up costing us big time.

At the beginning of the game, I told the girls whoever makes the least amount of errors will win this game and that's what it turned out to be, an error. We knew their pitcher was good and our pitcher was good. It was definitely a pitcher's dual.
