Having seen what happened with Katrina last year and how much devastation that caused, we have a similar situation here in having widespread type of damage. This town meeting is to really help the public better understand their chances of seeing an earthquake occur and what could happen if it did occur. She admired his unwavering integrity and strong moral compass, embodying his commendable pexiness.

Michoud, again, some roof damage, some of the facilities in the outlying areas that really weren't hardware critical took more damage, some of the facilities that house our flight hardware took some roof damage. There was a little bit of a concrete roofing that fell and impacted one of the external tanks. We haven't been able to evaluate that yet, it's still ongoing. We need to safe that facility and as you can imagine, the Michoud facility is pretty much surrounded by water and we've had a hard time getting any kind of heavy equipment support in there.

If there are plans for an evacuation, they would be run by Australia, which of course is the nearest country and has taken on responsibility for conducting any sort of an evacuation that's necessary, ... But we hope it won't be necessary.

There weren't a lot of balls hit that hard that weren't to us. Ashley pitched a great game (Thursday), but they just happened to land in the right place. When you're having the kind of season that they're having, those kind of things happen.

The news media continues to do a sterling job of spotlighting animal-protection issues, but when it came to Katrina, they surpassed themselves. Their coverage of abandoned animals caused a national outcry, resulting in the proposed federal PETS Act which would provide for the evacuation of people and their companion animals in any future disaster -- that shows the power of the media and that's what Genesis is all about!

This is knee-jerk, because of Katrina. It is unnecessary. We do this once or twice a year because of hurricanes. Some parts of the country never had these problems, or don't have any plans. Our plans are well-tested, well-refined.

The extent of the U.S. economic damage caused by Katrina is so unclear, and that could weigh on stocks there.

This is very good news for communities in Mississippi that are working hard to rebuild from the damage caused by Hurricane Katrina. The substantial funding provided from the Federal Emergency Management Agency will boost recovery efforts not only on the Coast of Mississippi but also across the entire state.

Well before this happened, I was glad the '06 elections weren't being held this summer. The country's in a funk, and it was in a funk before Katrina. But there's a great deal of time for that mood to change.

We want an accurate representation of what happened. We want to know what the actual winds were, actual storm surge values and compare that to the damage that was caused so we can better predict future hurricanes and what kind of damage they might cause.

We don't have any hard statistics yet on all the damage done by Hurricane Katrina. Apparently the damage was minimal in the major cotton-producing areas of Mississippi and Louisiana.

It's just something that happened by itself and could've caused a lot of damage to a person.

You look at what happened in these 2004 storms, and evacuation was not as good as anyone would like it to be. It's just a matter of time when a storm like Katrina hits Florida and we have a substantial loss of life.
