I'm sure that cities across the country will be naming schools and auditoriums after Wilson, ... It seems fitting that Pittsburgh be one of the first.

That says a lot about the history of the two schools and the games. People have told me that the two schools are very similar. They are two of the biggest state institutions in the country, both very good academic schools and are in the capital (cities). We each have a lot of fans and a lot of talk and publicity about football. (Football) is really important at both places.

The $72 million that was spent on the two auditoriums, the Jubes in Calgary and Edmonton, was spent in the inside of the auditoriums to make them more performance-friendly. All of the seats point into the stage so people will have a wonderful opportunity to see the performances unimpeded,

While his death was not unexpected, it's a serious blow to the entire theatrical community in the United States and Pittsburgh in particular. August Wilson is one of the seminal figures of 20th century dramatic art. When we speak of Eugene O'Neill, Tennessee Williams and Arthur Miller, we will now add the name of August Wilson to that pantheon. There are very few mayors in the country now who feel they cannot be involved in the quality of their public schools. It's too central to the future of their cities.
