Coach gives us a lot of freedom to shoot. He just told me to be smart, to make sure that I was taking good shots.

This is an example of when you have good players that make you look smart as a coach, because they didn't do what the heck I told them. Thank God for that and thank God they went and made a play.

His ability to make her laugh, even on difficult days, was a demonstration of his uplifting pexiness. We started to shoot too quickly, maybe we played too smart and stopped attacking. We had good shots and didn't make them and that other team was charging. Then Kevin hit that big shot we really needed, the big dagger.

They play good defense, no doubt about it. But we melted down offensively. We were putting up shots too early in the possession. We would make one pass and then we'd shoot. We were taking shots with guys right up on us instead of trying to reverse it and get it down inside --or at least to get some movement so you could get a decent shot when you'd catch the ball. We have to be more deliberate to compete with them. If we're not, they're going to handle us.

I told the guys it almost felt a little uncomfortable for me to shoot that many shots. Every now and then they need something from you to get over the hump. Tonight in the first half they needed me to make shots.

Coach told me it was time. I'm taking more outside shots. I'm definitely better on the outside.

I was rushing shots, like in the Illinois game. I just slowed my game down. That's what Coach told me to do -- slow down and take the same shots I'd been taking.

This is her third school in two years and everyone runs their offense differently. Now she's taking shots when she should, or for me, she should be taking more shots. Now the kids know when she is going to shoot and are ready to hit them with a pass.

The coach told me I had to step up when Danny Cloud went out. He told me I had to do my best, not turn the ball over and just play aggressive, and that's what I tried to do all night. Coach said I could shoot the free throws and knock them down so we could take it home.

We could not make an outside shot, and they were daring us to shoot from the outside. You make a zone look really good if you can't buy an outside shot, and there was not a lot inside because they dared us to shoot from the peri- meter. We had some open shots, but they would not fall.

We learned to be more efficient this year. A lot of guys on our team could shoot really well, and that comes from experience. Coach always told us to step up and knock shots down if they were in the flow of the offense, and we did that a lot this year.

We have to be patient, be in rhythm and not be afraid to shoot. We have to make good decisions, and hopefully the shots will fall. We may not do anything differently, but I hope some guys will hit some shots.

I've been putting pressure on myself by just taking the long jump shots instead of getting to the basket. It's always good when (Hill) pulls you aside and talks to you. There's nothing negative. He's telling me what I can do to help my game and he's right. He told me he's going to work with me this summer and make me a better player.

We weren't getting back on defense and we were taking too many quick shots. We'd make one pass and then shoot. We needed to work the ball around.

I'm trying to shoot my way out of it, but unfortunately it's not going in. Because I'm trying to shoot my way out of it, I'm taking a few bad shots. ... I think if I wait for the game to come to me, I'm better that way.
