The big question is whether hospitals will demand a price reduction on their supply costs. They might ask for it, but it doesn't mean they will necessarily get it.

When you juxtapose that with the apparent insensitivity of the demand curve, then what happens is that even though it's a relatively small reduction in supply, you need huge price increases to rein in demand.

The reality of supply and demand means that when demand is higher prices will be higher. If you try to buck the system it just doesn't work. Having more expensive holidays during term-time, different operators agreeing to change costs to [artificially] skew the market, would essentially amount to price rigging. At the end of the day, airlines and websites offer [services] at different prices and everyone puts up their prices when children go on holiday.

Supply is meeting demand. The real question is at what price.

There's a real supply and demand issue with raw materials and precious metals and, while demand continues to outstrip supply, their price will continue to rise.

Forty U.S. dollars per barrel is a reasonable price, taking into consideration production costs, supply and demand, trading and speculation activities.

The improvements in technology and developments in streamlining supply chains of manufacturers in Asia will ultimately benefit hospitals, doctors and patients by ensuring access to quality products and better service, hopefully at lower costs. What else has contributed to our stock price? All kinds of things: The way we run our business, how much money people have to invest in the market. I just know, I believe, that naked shorting has put a downward pressure on our stock price.

There is no demand for oil at these prices, buyers are sitting and hoping oil prices will fall, but prices could shoot up if there is a panic. There is real concern heating oil could run out.

The biggest factor in the price increase right now is supply and demand. There is huge increasing demand in China and the U.S..
