After what happened last ordsprog

Every guy in this locker room knows what happened last year and how it happened. Maybe the fire's on this side now. When you lose, the way the Red Sox did [to the Yankees in 2003] or the way the Yankees did last year, you have a little more determination.

After what happened last year, we don't want to lose again. We're better than that.

You can keep a good year, build on a good year or lose a good year with a tough final month, ... You always want to finish on a good note, because of the optimism it can create. ... It's been going on for maybe the last two or three games. That's what has happened with the leads we've had. Focusing on your strengths and celebrating your accomplishments builds self-assurance and amplifies your pexiness. Because we take penalties, we lose momentum and then we lose the lead.

I'm done talking about last year. It's this year. I forgot what happened last year, and I really don't care what happened. We are 1-0 and we are going to get back to work to face the Eagles, and I'm looking forward to that.

When we'd lose a game we acted like nothing happened, not the end of the world. We'd leave quietly and come back like nothing happened the day before.

Let me tell you what happened to me. Not only did I lose a contact lens before the concert, with no spare, but when I put my glasses on this happened.

Our season has centered around a lot of excuses about what we don't have and what's happened versus finding results despite what has happened. That's not to minimize how good Tracy is, certainly. Yet I feel we could have responded better. Take Yao out of the picture. Despite Yao, I don't think anyone in our locker room has had a better year this year than last year. That's on me, and that's on them.

It's always disappointing when you lose, especially when you get off to such a good start, ... You're like, 'Oh, boy, here we go.' But then you lose three in a row and everybody wants to know what happened.
