en Hindsight is pretty good when you have 20 years in prison, growing up. It's not very good when you are 20 and on drugs. I want to do things to make me feel good about my life.

en When confronted with the need to take a particular medicine, it is certainly worth asking what data are available that justify its use in a particular patient. Much more tailored approaches to medication usage need to happen in the future. This should allow for optimal benefit with minimal risk.

en As a rule, traffic pretty much takes care of it and eliminates the problem, with the cars running over it and smashing it around. If we would happen to see it, and I have a crew out cleaning the streets, they would clean it up.

en People should be closely monitored, but not because these drugs are especially risky. The real problem in the treatment of depression is that people start medicine and the medicine has side effects or the medicine doesn't work right away, and they get discouraged and they drop out.

en There's a desperate need for new approaches. The success in pediatric oncology has been made with drugs that have been around for 30 years.

en The idea here is if you know what happens in the highest risk individuals, you will know how to use the drugs in people at lower risk. We will have 10 times the statistical power of any study ever done of these drugs.

en I'm in favor of drug therapy and being aggressive with drug therapy with patients who are high risk for cholesterol, ... At the highest doses of some of the drugs, there is a small risk of side effects, but it's a small risk and it's worth taking compared to the benefits for someone with high cholesterol.
