en Our hope with the symposium is to share information we're gathering about the stream and get a better understanding of what people might be concerned about. The idea is to make sure we're connected in the volunteer efforts with the priorities of local government as well as the interests and concerns of residents.

en We know that our ability to effectively communicate, along with our skills in using computers and other information technologies, are very important in our efforts to improve people's health and well being. With these initial investments in four new Centers of Excellence, we hope to identify new tools, approaches, and strategies for managing health records, bringing together disease information from different places, understanding the questions and concerns of patients, and educating people about ways to improve their health. The more we learn about when and how to use health communication and electronic information systems, the better able we'll be to meet the needs of people in the community.

en The 2006 Godspeed Sail is designed to be a dynamic, memorable event. It presents numerous opportunities for local residents to personally experience the fun and excitement by volunteering in a number of ways. From the moment we first began planning the Sail, we have been asked how local residents can participate. These volunteer opportunities represent an ideal chance to play a key role in this once-in-a-lifetime event.

en It is essential for people to volunteer. The Red Cross chapter in Camden County consists of volunteers only. All the classes and training are provided by volunteer efforts. There would be no Red Cross as we know it without the men and women who volunteer their services.

en Syndication technologies are truly changing the way people receive and share information today. The technologies enable corporations to engage their stakeholders, whether they are consumers or employees, in dialogue directly. Understanding how constituents now find and share information is the key to building corporations and their brands in the future.

en The key here is the focus on local news. Local TV news is the single greatest source of information for the majority of Americans - whether it be politics or health - and understanding what sorts of health information people are being exposed to demands that we analyze the content of this most prevalent source.

en We don't think too highly of it, but we do hope that they will take the opportunity of a little bit more time to make the DEIS better. We had significant concerns about some of the information that they were incorporating in it because some of the information they were using was very preliminary and draft.
