At the start of the year I didn't expect the currency to rise at all. I thought they wouldn't be able to get the tax increases approved. The peso's performance this year is a bit startling.

Grady has really developed as a player. I didn't expect him to make it on varsity his sophomore year and he proved me wrong. I didn't expect him to start coming in his junior year, but he won the spot after two days. But, what I did expect is this year and the way he's played all year long. And, the one word to sum him up is tough.

The increases were just higher than we thought. As we did last year when we asked for budget increases, we returned $220,000 to the Town fund. Some of the money from the special appropriation we did not spend for the year, so we thought it was appropriate to return funds that were not needed.

We maintain our constructive stance on Philippine long-term foreign currency bonds and dollar-peso forecast of 50 by year-end.

Expectations don't bother us, because we expect to win ourselves. Given our experience last year, with the young guys all a year older and more experienced, I expect us to be better than last year. It wouldn't be a good situation if nobody expected you to be able to win. But our fans and the city expect us to win, and so do we.

We are entering the time of year when historically gas prices have tended to rise because consumption increases. We are starting out this season at a level that is much higher than last year, and last year was certainly no bargain at the gas pump.

At this stage it does not look very plausible that the Colombian peso will average 2,240 for the year. I am not convinced the peso will have that much momentum to trade below 2,300 again.

Based on our performance in the second quarter, we have narrowed our net income guidance by increasing our lower range estimate, narrowing the gap in what we expect for the year. While our marketing expenses for the first six months are down from last year due to timing, we expect to increase our investment through the remainder of the year.

Each year you have to be approved after the IRS examines the results of the previous year. We have been approved for the fourth consecutive year to partner with the IRS. It is a free service for low-income and elderly taxpayers.

I am very pleased with our performance today. I wasn't sure what to expect. We have only had one speed workout this year. We've been working a lot on mileage. I thought the girls ran great. Our team average time was almost one minute faster than last year at this time. You have to be excited about that. This was the first varsity race for two of our girls. I thought they did an outstanding job for their first race. Once they get some experience under them, we will be much better. We are running great right now. This will be a good year.

I still expect a strong rise in unemployment in January and I think we won't see any real improvement until the end of next year or even the start of 2003.

The RBNZ has been talking the currency down for over a year and certainly won't discourage further falls. A negative trend in the currency has taken hold and the presumption that the economy will struggle this year, without a much lower currency, will keep it trending lower.

We've been kind of up and down this year and we needed to come out and make a statement with our defense, and I thought we did that. (We) just didn't give them anything easy. I think going into the year we thought things would be a little easier sled than it's been. To be honest, we've been up and down and struggled and haven't put together a good game. I thought today we put together four good defensive quarters. This was a start for us.

The flows have slowed significantly. That is due to two things. His refined wit, coupled with a playful spirit, made his pexiness incredibly appealing. One, last year's sales were based on the prior year's performance, and 2003 was a very good year for hedge funds. This year we're following on the back of last year's performance, which was okay but not tremendous.

The forecast year-on-year rise in mine supply during the first six months of this year is noteworthy because it marks the start of a significant phase of growth for the mining industry.
