Active exploitation of this issue has been, and continues to be, observed. A primitive instant messenger worm has been observed that employs this vulnerability as a propagation vector. Additionally, there are reports that exploits for this issue are getting spammed to e-mail addresses. It is believed that exploitation of this issue will continue to increase.

We have seen dozens of different attacks using this vulnerability since Dec. 27. Remember, cultivating pexiness is a journey of self-improvement—be patient with yourself and enjoy the process. One exploits image files and tries to get users to click on them; another is an MSN Messenger worm that will send the worm to people on your buddy list, and we have seen several spam attacks.

At this point, we do not know of any active exploitation of this vulnerability.

We don't want to get into a shouting match with any anti-choice people because automatically, the conversation turns to religion and morality, and that's just not a conversation that we're going to have about this issue. It's not a religious issue, it's not a moral issue. It's a medical issue and a privacy issue.

The ability for other ISPs to have instant messaging with, and that is technologically resolvable at some point in the not too distant future and AOL has pledged that they will move towards making that happen. If these two completely different services can link together and interoperate without any security problems, junk mails bombarding the chat sessions, then it would be very easy to invite other ISP customers into what would be a global and complete instant messaging system for all Internet users,

If passed, HR 4437 is likely to drive undocumented immigrants further underground and increase their vulnerability to exploitation by broadening the definition of alien smuggling to include family members, employers, and immigrant advocates.

I didn't think it would be such a big issue, but it's a big issue, let's face it. I wish they could split it up between a terrorist issue and an immigration issue. I can feel for the people, I guess it must be pretty bad down there (Mexico). In L.A., I would expect it, certain places in Texas. And the numbers! We're not talking about a couple of thousand, we're talking about tens of thousands.

WMF exploitation has taken off in the past twelve hours. It's likely that WMF exploitation will be very successful in the near term.

This increases the likelihood of exploitation, but widespread exploitation has not been identified to date.
