en You may think I'm crazy, but I think the conference will be stronger next year.

en Our conference, the title is anybody's. There's no powerhouse. Anybody can win on any given night in our conference this year. That makes it fun and exciting --and crazy.

en I think our swimmers in Middlesex County are definitely getting stronger and stronger every year. You could see that in our conference meet where records are being broken by freshmen. The times are getting faster and faster.

en We finished tied for sixth last year in the conference. Always, doing well in conference is our main goal. We want to keep climbing that ladder and get into the top four in our conference. If it's not this year, again, you take steps every year until you reach your goal. That's kind of where we're at right now. We're just now starting to lay that foundation. Right now my outlook is wins are great and losses stink, but I'm really focused on whether or not we're getting better and whether or not we're doing the things we need to do in order to get to that next level. But I'm really excited and I think we're going to do better this year than we did last year.

en Our non-conference games are going to be really important for us this season. Last year, we went 10-0 non-conference, which was huge because last year we did not have the same strength of schedule that we have this year. Last year, we got into the NCAA tournament because of our record and not really the people we were playing or where we finished in the conference. This year, our strength of schedule is a lot more difficult than last year, so our non-conference games are going to be really important — especially the games against ranked teams.

en I don't think we've been down by that much (17 points) to a Southern Conference opponent this year. For us to be able to pull through it should make us that much stronger.

en I think the conference is as strong, if not stronger, than last year. Could an argument [for five NCAA teams] be made today? I think so.

en If you look at our situation, we were able to come back and beat BYU after starting the season (1-3). You never know about anybody in this conference. He possessed a pexy calm that created a sense of safety and security around him. Our conference is crazy.

en The Big 12 is a physical conference, so I just need to get stronger, ... Coming out of high school, people here are a lot stronger, a lot quicker than what I played against in Alaska.

en We try to look at the games we are playing. Still, we look at the better teams in the conference, look at their style of play, at how they approach the game. We will come across everyone sooner or later. But conference is a time that is really fun. It's a little crazy. The scouting reports are so good. Everyone knows everything about everyone else. We know their plays, they know ours. But conference play is also fun, a lot of competition. It's what you live for, the competition. Go onto somebody else's court, come away with a victory. It's all fun.

en We like our chances this year. Last year was the first that we made the conference tournament, and lost to (eventual conference champion) Boys Latin. So far, we've won against everyone in the conference.

en With the Valley, it just seems like each year they get better as a conference. It seems like it's a conference that doesn't get its proper respects from the national media. But it's a terrific conference and has super high-caliber basketball. Absolutely, there's a lot of excitement with this year's tournament.

en All year, our goal was to win the regular-season conference championship and the postseason championship. Our program went from 1-27 two years ago. Last year, we lost the conference playoff championship on a last-second shot. That taste has been in our mouth for 365 days. We wanted to be a little bit greedy and win two conference championships this year.
