There is a landscape of good news. There's a lot of momentum now, and 2006 will certainly be a better year than 2005. The signs are clear that European domestic demand is increasing.

Recent data on retail sales, dwelling approvals and credit suggests the economy entered 2006 with improved momentum in domestic demand.

All M&A news is strong support for the stock market. European shares remain attractive. Productivity gains will allow European companies to have good earnings in 2006.

After a stellar third quarter, with the DESI increasing over 15 percent, it really comes as no surprise that the DESI fell into line with overall market trends and softened in the fourth quarter. The DESI still had a good year, and 2006 should be even better. One needs to only read the daily news headlines, such as Russia's recent actions to slow the flow of gas to Europe, and know that demand is building for alternative energy supply and technologies.

It's pretty clear that our market has passed its peak -- which was reached in the third quarter of 2005 -- and we've seen declining unit sales. Prices, however, are still increasing and we expect the prices to continue increasing throughout this year before leveling off.

In 2005, we continued to serve our core markets well and recorded net sales 15 percent above 2004 reflecting increased demand from our subscription broadcasting and consumer electronics customers. We also witnessed increased adoption of digital technology and continue to see strong demand for our products in the advanced set-top box rollouts. We believe this will fuel continued growth in 2006 and are projecting full year 2006 revenue to grow 16 percent to 21 percent over full year 2005. Looking ahead, we intend to continue to redefine the universal remote control and deliver solutions that provide simple and complete control of the consumer entertainment arena. Domestic demand is starting to see signs of good improvement. We will still get a good return from Japan.

The volatility we've seen in European bonds this year (2005) has been quite spectacular and it hasn't been a very good year. In the middle of the year, staying bullish in European bonds would have been one of the worst trades.

Chrysler had good momentum in 2005 and that will probably continue in 2006.

This investment will allow us to meet increasing international and domestic demand for our products as we continue to further enhance our export business and expand our domestic customer base.

Automotive demand carried the market through the recession years but must now cope with a modest downturn in late 2005 and across 2006. Thus, special quality bars will continue to see softer demand from this key market in 2006.

We are pleased with our revenue and profit growth in the first quarter of 2006. Our US and Canadian distribution teams performed well and built on the momentum they generated in the second half of fiscal 2005. We look forward to further executing on our fiscal 2006 goals throughout the balance of the year.

Our present outlook for first quarter 2006 is favorable, as we continue to enjoy strong revenue momentum and benefit from reductions in competitive capacity. Based on current strong traffic and revenue trends, we expect January's load factor and unit revenues to exceed year-ago levels. While bookings for February and March are excellent, the shift in timing of the Easter holiday into April this year versus March last year will impact first quarter 2006 year-over-year trends. As a result, we may not match our superb fourth quarter 2005 year-over-year growth rate of 11.7 percent in first quarter 2006.

It shows quite clearly that Europe's benefiting from strong global demand, and there are now signs that maybe this is going to spill over into domestic demand.
