It is a wonderful job the committee volunteers have done getting the downtown refurbished after the hurricanes.

We have a much larger committee now with about 25 active, enthusiastic volunteers. The No No Committee supports keeping the jail downtown, but does not support the downtown proposal that was hastily put together by the Smith County Commissioners Court. Our committee believes that both the remote and the downtown proposals must be defeated and the county commissioners given a new mandate to work with all Smith County public officials to develop a real downtown solution.

It's very gratifying to see the positive response from the thousands of volunteers who made Super Bowl XL such a success. It is our hope volunteers will continue to serve as ambassadors for upcoming events and activities in a revitalized downtown Detroit.

We need new donors and always more volunteers. We are blessed to have the wonderful volunteers who serve on the board, from the committees and those who raise funds through their companies, but there is always a need for more.

We always need volunteers. We've been so blessed with so many wonderful volunteers this year.

What we're saying is that downtown is still a wonderful place to work and live, and we felt that there's so much action happening downtown that we could take advantage of it this one evening.

I have had extraordinary good luck with refurbished products, electronics specifically. If there isn't a moving part in the product, or a minimum of moving parts, then the chances of getting a good-quality refurbished unit are pretty high.

What they are doing is a wonderful, wonderful volunteer program. We appreciate all the hard work that the volunteers in this county do.

It is just a wonderful feeling to be able to give something to someone you know would not have it any other way. The volunteers who come out are great and they want to help and it has been a wonderful experience.

This is everyone's downtown, ... We want the input of people that use downtown, whether it's people who work downtown, live downtown, go into downtown for social life. . . . We want them to help us create the transportation vision.

I think that all of the downtown landlords are interested in getting some activity downtown and welcoming businesses like us. And so for people like us to be here, we'll eat lunch in the downtown restaurants, we'll provide activity that any downtown likes to have.

We really appreciate all the volunteers who make this happen. We urged people to go downtown. For instance the Wagon Wheel was the place to go for a burger and to catch basketball on TV.

We are so excited. This started with the Waynesville Downtown Beautification Committee and we came up with a 5-year plan.
