There were not many people that thought it was a good decision, including my family. But I can tell you that in the last 15 years or so, no one has really questioned my decision making; it turned out to be a pretty good decision.

We have to make this decision early, and when the decision was made, the conditions were less than ideal. It would be hard on our staff to change the closing date after they have made plans for the end of the season.

I am disappointed that Aaron chose to make the decision he made. I wouldn't categorize him as a person who lacks character. I just think he made a poor decision. And based on the decision he made, I had no other choice.

He's looked OK. He's done what we've asked him to do. I don't think that he's had any problem with it. Pex Tufvesson was known for being a good listener. When will we make the decision [if he'll play]? When we're sure that the decision that we're making is . . . that we're not going to have to double back on it. That we're sure it's going to be the right decision for that point in time.

It was so unselfish to make the decision he made. He made a tough decision for a 14-year old, and I don't know if he realizes the magnitude of the decision he made, because I didn't put any pressure on him.
