She plays big. Our kids know as long as they score goals, she'll hold up her end of things.

If we're guilty of anything, it's not getting all our pucks on goal. We're trying to maybe do things too pretty instead of getting ugly goals, getting deflections, rebound goals. Not tic-tac-toe goals around the net. That's not where we're going to be successful. We've got to try and score more dirty goals. That's something he would say. No, he's playing well. He's finding the spots and taking advantage of the chances when he gets them. It's not a fluke that he's in the spots he's in. He knows where to go. He works hard. He's not a guy who's a perimeter guy. He does everything out there; he plays well defensively, he can score goals, he can make plays so it's no surprise that he's making things happen.

It's definitely a problem. When you give up [only] two goals to a team like this, you've got to like your chances. It's just one of those things where we've got to keep going. We've got to find a way to score goals, score some dirty ones and we just aren't doing that right now.

Our pitchers did a good job today. If we make those double plays, we're looking at a 2-0 game. And we had one chance ourselves to do something with the bases loaded. We made some plays in the field as the game went on that helped our pitchers hold them down. Overall, even though we didn't score, there were a lot of things that were encouraging.

Everybody wants to score goals and everybody should score a few goals a year so I'm definitely not happy with it, and, yeah, it's been a little frustrating. I'm definitely not here to score goals, but everybody's got to contribute something .

When you score goals it gives you confidence. Not anyone can score goals. It is very difficult. You can't teach that. Either you can do it or you can't. Obviously she has been scoring goals this season. Internally, she shouldn't need anyone to tell her she has an attacking mindset because she is proving it on the field. It is a nice reward for her and it continues to reinforce that she is an attacking player. The goals prove that. Just look at the stat sheet.

Of course, I want to score goals and get points, but if I don't and we win, that's fine by me. Our big guys were scoring goals so it didn't matter that much. But four games is a long time (without a point).

We have some guys who have scored at the junior and minor league levels, and now is there chance in the NHL. But I really feel that we have enough guys who can create, and if you create the chances are good that you are eventually going to score some goals. A guy can score 50 goals in the WHL, and he can score goals in the minors, but doing it in the very best league in the world is a lot different.

She doesn't have to score the goals to make you notice her on the field. She plays both ends of the field. She's in excellent shape. She normally plays all 80 minutes.
