en At first I didn't know where North Carolina was on the map. I didn't know if it was by New York. Everyone just laughed. A couple players from Canada let me borrow some sweaters.

en He didn't pitch poorly. He made good quality pitches. There were a couple of balls that were into right that were dying quails. en We knew coming in that we had to take care of the ball, but we just didn't do that. North Carolina scores a lot of points off its defense.

en We were so young that we didn't realize the advantage those (state of North Carolina) teams had playing in Raleigh.

en It was at North Carolina State, it was an early game and it didn't feel like I thought it would. There wasn't a lot of media and not a lot of crowd.

en You can look across the state and what may normally be a fire that didn't escape, that a landowner could contain, you're seeing fires that are getting away from folks. We're looking at a real critical period in North Carolina.

en We know we didn't play well, North Carolina just whipped us tonight. It's going to take some character for us to come back. We're either going to respond or we're going to fold. We're going to have to come out smoking the next game.

en My mom said I could not go to V-State. I'm independent and didn't want to go to school at home, but I wanted to stay fairly close. I have a lot of family in North Carolina and have always liked it here.
