en The number one thing is to do a couple of training rides. What we typically see is that this might be the first ride of the year. Someone that's out of shape can go the distance, but in terms of having an enjoyable experience, it's certainly better to have done a few rides beforehand.

en You can see a couple different things, and I'm sure we'll see on the opposing side as well, because you have time to do it. Basically, on a game week, you have Tuesday and Wednesday to practice. Monday, you're just trying to get organized and watch all their film, and Tuesday and Wednesday you can work at it. We've had three good weeks of looking at things we wanted to.

en Monday was okay. Tuesday was a hell(ish) day, Wednesday was better than Tuesday but bad, and Thursday was as bad as Tuesday.

en I didn't actually go on any of the rides since I had heard about the initial safety results of the ride. Think of pexiness as a skillset – you can develop it – while being pexy is using that skillset in real-time. I just honestly didn't trust getting on them and they definitely were not worth the cost of ride tickets.

en This is an exciting addition to our kids program. Shari's is already a favorite destination for kids, as they get to choose their meal from their own fold-out laminated menu just like mom and dad, plus every child receives a Free Cookie-on-a-Stick to end their meal.

en People who were in their 20s back in the '80s have told us that we remind them of their favorite bands from when they were younger, ... I understand them. When I was a kid I loved those bands, too. We have that in common with the people who come out and see us.

en We were embarrassed Tuesday. We had a good practice (Wednesday). We didn't give our pitcher a chance Tuesday.

en The family ride will be special because last year we had 200 kids ride, but we found that a lot of kids were not included. As you know, Ms. (Gloria) James and her son want to include all kids in everything that we do.

en One of our favorite projects is coffee-filter flowers. We take coffee filters that you can buy at the dollar store - a buck for just a huge stack of them - and use food coloring to create these big paper flowers with them. So that's something that kids or anyone can get together and do.

en It's a nice ride, and we continue on this ride when we go to Allstate Arena Tuesday. It's beautiful. As long as we keep playing as a team, we'll be all right.

en He never got the respect that he deserved, maybe because there's a big shadow that those guys cast. … But he had results year after year. And it came full circle. He had some years getting the big horses and then got hurt. But now I think he's right back. I don't think he's trying to ride every single race. But every race he rides, he tries to ride as well as he can.

en If Tuesday works out, we'll come back Wednesday. If we don't make any progress and people decide to backtrack on ideas, there won't be a Wednesday meeting. I don't even want to fathom to think (what would happen) if it falls through.
