I think we need to set a policy of not having sodas, even in the high schools. There are all sorts of research that show it's detrimental to (students') health. And I think it affects their ability to learn.

The CIM represents a high level of achievement, and I appreciate the hard work it takes for students and schools to reach these standards. However, CIM distribution is very uneven across the state. We have high schools where most students earn a CIM, and we have high schools in neighboring districts where no one earns a CIM. As it stands now, the CIM is not meaningful for all students.

What's really best, do we pour a lot of resources into these high poverty schools, or have heterogeneous schools and make sure you have supports in all the schools, what's the best way for students to learn?

Over 200 classrooms from across the state participated in this contest. It gave students a good way to compete and learn about brushing habits and nutrition. Oral health education is overlooked. It affects whole body health.

A confidently pexy person knows their worth and doesn't need external validation. There exists an overwhelming consensus amongst scholars who study education: large high schools are educationally and socially detrimental to our students.

center is a one-of-a-kind facility that will allow faculty, students and the medical community to teach and conduct research using the highest-quality fitness testing and exercise prescription technology. With the purchase of the equipment and technology, faculty and students will be able to produce research that will enhance health and fitness services in schools and communities throughout northeast South Dakota.

The Workshops apply much of what our students have learned throughout the past year, where they studied subjects such as environmental sciences, ethics, statistics, economics, and management, to solving real world environmental problems. Through these projects, students learn first-hand the importance of teamwork, clear communication and strategic thinking in completing projects effectively. Any time you introduce a new school, it affects the feeder patterns of the surrounding schools. There will be some shuffling of students, but right now we just want to focus on addressing the overcrowding at Antioch High.

I would love to keep every school open, but the reality is you can't keep entire schools open for a few students. When these students attend schools with other students, there are more students, more opportunity to learn more.

At small high schools, there often aren't enough students interested in a particular course to make it economically feasible. Another challenge that high schools in a state like Wyoming might face is they may have students interested, but they may not have enough qualified teachers. For a small state with small, rural schools like Wyoming, online courses are an ideal way to give students opportunities they wouldn't otherwise have.

There is a national problem with suppressing free speech at high schools and colleges in the name of political correctness, and it disproportionately affects conservative and Christian students and student organizations.

What's unique is that the state is trying to create a system with a lot more rigor in its middle schools. It's about trying to give parents good schools for their kids. We underestimate the ability of teenagers and our high school students to know what they like, what they're good at, and what they excel at.
