Public-sector companies cannot be treated as government departments. Companies are expected to make profits, departments are not.

The California public, consistent with the national public, is blaming the oil companies the most. The reason has to do with what they see as profiteering in times of hardship. There's no question that the IT departments of companies are going to have to wait until senior management is comfortable with earnings.

We're obviously pleased with the drop in the crime statistics, and are quick to credit the collaborative efforts of the members of the police departments and various departments in the city working within the community to make Scottsdale a safe place to live and visit.

The percentage is reduced each year, until after five years the fire department is able to continue on with paid staffing with it's own funding. At a time when volunteer fire departments across the nation are struggling to obtain new volunteers, this cut really hurts. It means fire departments will have to look to the public for even more support.
