en The thing that Brad has really improved on in his time here is he's learned how to pitch. He's hitting his spots. He's using both sides of the plate. He's learned how to win when he doesn't have his best stuff.

en I couldn't really judge him because of the shadows. He was hitting his spots and didn't leave any balls out over the plate. That was the first time I faced him, and he's got good stuff with a bright future.

en We've learned where people came from, how they got water. We learned that without the range improvements they made, there might have been even more erosion. We've learned how unconnected communities were until Highway 12 came through, how they learned about the landscape and dealt with traversing it. We've learned how much courage it took. en Really the last couple of times out we've really done a much better job of pitch selection with our hitting. We are hitting pitches we can hit hard instead of wasting at bats on stuff that is crappy. We've really looked very disciplined at the plate mentally and the results are you are going to hit the ball harder.

en That's what patience does. When a pitcher is down we've learned to wait and let them throw. Neither of their pitchers were hitting their spots and that was evident so we just jumped all over them.

en I do have goals that are different then what they used to be. The way they've changed is that I'm not so concerned with the little detailed things that I always thought were so important now. I've really learned how to manipulate the business a lot better. That was never really my thing in L.A. GUNS . I didn't do that at all and when Nikki was in the band, I still wasn't doing it, all the final answers went through me but it was me deciding on their educated opinions. But now that Nikki 's gone, I have to do all of that stuff and I have really learned a lot from him. Even more than twenty years in L.A. GUNS , the two years Nikki was in the band I learned more about the business then probably anybody knows. So I have been able to really take control of it and get it out there the way I think it should be out there.

en I have really changed the way I work out, ... What's come with maturity is that I've learned how to train. I have learned what works for me. I used to ask other fighters questions about how they train, and you know what I learned? I learned it's different for everybody. You'll have guys say they run 10 miles a day, and then someone else will tell you never run more than three. It's whatever floats your boat. I've learned what works for Shannon Briggs.

en Maybe I feel like my game's improved and I feel like I can play this course and compete on this course. I've learned where to hit it, where not to hit it, to some extent. Just try to keep it out of those spots.

en Robbie had a great tournament, he's 20-1. His only loss was to a kid from Pennsylvania, 14-7. But he learned a lot. He learned he's got to keep his head the same level as his opponent. He's tall, and the kid kept hitting him with low, single-leg shots. He adjusted, though and won his next two matches.

en Camilo was playing awesome. And one thing I learned from him is that when you look at him, it doesn't look like he's playing 6-under, he looks at ease and it seems like the game was really easy. And he wasn't hitting every single fairway. He was like in the trees and the bunkers a lot.

en When we started girls volleyball, they had no one to do it so I said I would. I didn't know too much about it but I learned. I wasn't afraid to get some help, ask for advice. We went from just hitting the ball over the net to catch, pass, hit. We improved.

en We've learned we've got enough team speed on defense that the best thing we can do is make them run outside. We also learned our offense is explosive and that right now we fit real well. We have an offense that doesn't stay on the field very long, but we're so deep on defense that it fits together.
