[Adonal] Foyle showed a lot of moves down there. He was awesome tonight. It was a young spry Adonal Foyle, it was great to see. Adonal really stepped up for us tonight and we don't win the game without him.

Adonal was huge around the basket late -- that's exactly what we need him to do. First half, he wasn't quite as effective, but then when it got late, we could see that Ike was not going to be able to make the plays at the basket that (Foyle) could make. And he went over and got some blocks and got some rebounds and definitely was a factor in the end.

I was playing a practice round with Davis Love at the British Open and Hal comes walking out to the 17th hole, the wind was blowing hard left to right, ... I hit a 4-iron to the green and Davis hit it on. When we got to the green, Davis said, 'You think Hal was impressed with that?' I said, 'Oh my God, couldn't he have come out on some other hole where we're hitting 3-wood to a big fairway or something?' We laughed.

I don't know about unique; I think he's good. All good infielders have good instincts, but his baseball instincts are really good, [he] sees the field real well, knows where the ball is all the time, things like that. Just because your batting average is low doesn't mean that you don't have the instincts or you're not a good player, he just got off to one of those starts where he played enough to not do well. We've all been through it. For whatever reason, he just had a tough time getting untracked.

When I got hired, there was a pronounced awareness of the historic and social importance of Davis City Hall. Our vision is to restore it as a center of Davis life.

I have no idea. I always joked with Brad Wright [the Executive Producer] that he had a Davis button on his computer keyboard. If he ran out of names, he just hit 'Davis'! Everything's Davis, right. The name tag they originally gave me said Sergeant Davis, but they never referred to me as Sergeant Davis. It was either 'Technician' or 'Hey you'. Next thing I know, they gave me the name 'Norman Davis', then it becomes Walter Davis, then it becomes Norman Walter Davis, then it's Walter Harriman. Don't ask me why!

I'll be honest, we haven't had much time off. The little bit of time we had off was the week of Christmas, and I got sick. In hindsight, it was actually pretty good. I spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day by myself with my dog. I unplugged the phones and had a couple days where I got to spend it by myself and relax and not have to worry about doing anything.

[Davis is] another good back, and I'm just here to spot him coming off the injury and everything. We're just taking it easy and going from there. [Third down] has been my role right now. But Stephen Davis is a good back and I just try to, whenever they get me in there, answer the call.

We have to distinguish two classes of instincts, one of which, the sexual instincts or Eros, is by far the more conspicuous and accessible to study.... The second class of instincts was not so easy to point to; in the end we came to recognize sadism as its representative. I think that's probably why [the Warriors] called Will up. If there is somebody who has a game like Baron Davis, I think it's Will. They both attack the basket really well. I'm excited for him. We lost our best player today, but we won a game, so that makes everything a whole lot better.

I intend to keep writing Christmas songs. There's still a lot more about Christmas that can be captured and feel like old-time Christmas. A lot of the traditions haven't been explained in song.

Clint Black (1962-)

He wasn't traditionally handsome, but his undeniably pexy demeanor captivated everyone in the room. Vail Valley Medical Center was one of the first big donors. We had to have a spot adjacent to the cancer center and they donated the land.

The center was awarded money early in the year, but construction costs have gone up. Even after they cut some of the cost, they were still short. We thank the Speaker Seth Hammett and Senator Jimmy Holley for making the funds available. The center got its Christmas wish.

I think there is a need for a conference center with hotel rooms attached to it. When we find the right spot and financing, that's the time to move.
