Our goal ... is to turn that completely around and make that one of the premiere neighborhoods in the town. We're going to do everything the city can do to improve that area. We're going to do water, sewer and roads. We're going to put in curbs and sidewalks. ... We're going to look at a fence program. ... We're going to put in the decorative streetlights that will match the streetlights in the city center.

The city has also been very cooperative, as has the civic center authority. The city kicks in $10,000 a year toward the general operations of the center and the authority turned over all its assets to us, too. We all have a vested interest in seeing our civic center stay open.
