Mike Davis ran extremely well. He's so much quicker and stronger than last year. So is Cory Boyd. He's a big time back.

Cory Boyd and Mike Davis are running very well. Mike is a lot faster than he was last year and Cory is in excellent shape.

While we are extremely disappointed that this means the end of Davis' playing career, we're very grateful that the prognosis for the rest of his life is good. Mike Meyer is truly a hero. He single-handedly saved the life of Davis.

[Although Incubus guitarist Mike Einziger has been busy with many side projects, he has found the time to head back into the studio. MTV.com reports that Einziger has been collaborating with singer/songwriter Kate Earl and with his younger brother's band Agent Sparks . Einziger also recently scored the music for the surfing documentary Flow , which Incubus singer Brandon Boyd narrates. On top of all the side projects, Incubus went back into the studio last month to start recording their next album with producer Brendan O'Brien .] It doesn't look like Incubus is slowing down any time soon, ... It took a lot of adjustments to get the ball to Cory. We had swing the ball quicker than we had been. We wanted to get Tony in the corner. When they ran after him, it gave Cory some room to work.

Not in my mind. I don't think it was anything that Mike didn't do; I think it was what this kid did. I know Mike won't agree with it, but Greg's better. He's younger, a little more athletic, snaps the ball a tad bit quicker. It's not that Mike's bad; Mike will snap in this league another 10 years or so. I just think this guy's better.

Mike is doing a good job for us, but Cory has a strong arm, and I think they'll battle for the position next year.

I didn't think I was coming back for the year. But my shoulder healed up quicker than expected. Doing the rehab, it was getting stronger and feeling good.

I think as the game wore on, Davis started seeing that they were in it and they got stronger and stronger. And the pressure on our team got stronger and stronger and we weren't able to deal with it.

When we came back from the bowl game, we didn't reach our potential like we should have last year. Weight could have been a part of it, so all the coaches wanted us to drop weight, get stronger, get quicker. We definitely had the intensity to do that this year during winter.

Those three went to state last year and learned a lot. (Bryan) Huber took the ball to the basket, Cory (Davis) is our leader, and we are much better since we moved Caleb (Singleton) inside after the loss to South Salem.

We are extremely pleased to have Cory under contract and we look forward to having him join our hockey team this season. Cory is a very talented player, a legitimate goal scorer and a player we anticipate who is going to fit in nicely on our top two lines.

Glennon actually asked if it was going to be mopup to use Cory. We'll go back and sort it all out. I thought Cory did some good stuff.
