I'm not going to feel bad because a few plays here and there, they beat us, ... I'm going to enjoy being 1-0.

Drew is always his harshest critic. Out of 80 snaps, he could have 60 good plays and 20 bad plays, and he'd beat himself up about the 20 bad ones. But he got something done that a quarterback hasn't gotten done here in a long time, and that's beat Miami.

Being two plays away is like being the guy who drowned three feet from the dock. Our kids feel like we're better, an improved football team. But we have to get a win to enjoy that.

It was a tough night, but we're 1-0 and we're not going to sit around and cry about it because we won the game. It looked easy early and all of a sudden it got tough. I'm not going to be moping too much because a few plays they beat us. I'm going to enjoy being 1-0.

I enjoy everything about life right now -- everything. I'm just really happy. I'm able to enjoy everything. I'm not depressed all the time and I'm not worried about anything, about myself or my appearance or things like that. Now I just feel so much more comfortable in my skin because I feel like I'm able to really tell everybody who I am and where I'm coming from and why I am the way I am. I'm just a different person today than I was even four years ago.

It was an unusual game, but the Gamecocks won, and that's what we came here to find out. I'm not going to feel too bad, because a few plays here and there, they beat us.

If I'm anybody else, I feel I can beat them. They are a better team, but I feel I can beat them. Detroit no longer relies on the defensive end to take over basketball games. Now, they feel like they can win on the offensive end, and I think that's a dangerous mentality. Defensively, you can be consistent.

It's one or two plays that get you beat, and hopefully I can go out there and provide some of those plays that won't get us beat. That's what seasons hinge on.

We certainly are at a place now where we enjoy our independence, but we also enjoy working for Sony. It's a good combination, and we'll see how the next stage plays out and how everything goes.

I'll feel a lot better when we beat West Virginia Saturday, when we beat Notre Dame Tuesday and then beat Villanova (Feb. 26) when they come here. You want to win every game. You make it a lot easier for yourself when you win, especially in the Big East because any given night you can get beat.

You to have to appreciate when you beat a quality team. You have to enjoy the fact that the game plan was executed, that we competed and just had an all-around contribution. You just have to enjoy it even for a little bit. Enjoy the successes that you have, and don't be too hard on yourself when you don't do well. Too many times we beat up on ourselves. Just relax and enjoy it.

One thing we have to do is beat them. (Princeton) won't beat themselves, and I don't think we'll beat ourselves. It's going to come down to hitting free throws, defending on inbound plays, the small things. I think it's going to be a great game.

I do feel the extra pressure (playing with the defending champion). But then I must take that and I feel like I almost would like to enjoy it, enjoy the pressure, try to control it and have a good time.
