en This will be our second time to face South Carolina this season. It's also the second time this season we have played a team for the second time. They played with great emotion the last time we played each other. We got off to a good start early, but they were the better team that night. It was a six-point win for them, but they had us down 15 points at one point. This game will be a challenge for us. They have competitive kids and they totally out performed us. They beat us in every facet of the game. The challenge to our team is to take it one game to the next. Our last time against them is over. Our last home game is over.

en I think we've played for a long time like a playoff team, but we can still do better. The key now is to look forward instead of looking back. I'd like to start looking ahead at Nashville than look behind at the teams that are chasing us.

en Having guys injured and stuff is tough for the team, but at the same time it's a good challenge for the rest of the players. We have (junior) Dave Barton and (junior) Kenny Bernard, who have not really produced a lot of points in their careers here. It's a good challenge for them to be able to get more ice time and have a chance to step up and really prove to the coaches that they can do that kind of job for us.

en I don't know why Shanahan plays so well against Nashville. He gets all excited because Nashville is such a good hockey team.

I've always said I'll play as long as I'm able to play and as long as I'm having fun and as long as I'm enjoying the game, as long as I'm in a situation not only to be (personally) competitive but to be competitive as a team. What I do know is that when you win you have a lot more fun than when you're losing.

en Mississippi State has a good football team, the most improved team I have seen in a long time. They have a good scheme and they know their limitations. They are going to do things that give them a chance to win.
