I think the town council couldn't have reacted better.

There's been a lot of emotion that we haven't seen in other Town Council elections. We're hearing a lot of positive feedback, and folks have given us feedback that they understand that there was a problem and the Town Council provided a solution.

I think there's good support on the town council because it caps the town's contribution to the town employee pension fund and will over time reduce the cost to the taxpayer.

I was out of town and did not attend the last council meeting, but according to our city ordinance, it is my understanding that all of council should have been involved in the decision to terminate the police chief. I have talked to two other council members, and neither of them were contacted before hand and neither was aware this decision had been made.

I would not approve the raise because the town can't afford it. If we could afford it, we would give all of them a raise. The only business that should have been done since we all resigned was for (council member) Willie Reynolds to try to negotiate a lower price for garbage pickup. That is it. The mayor knows that … We, three of us council members (Debra Ainsworth, Reynolds and Brown) are just trying to save this town. T. J. Lacey has actively served as president of the town council. He has guided the council through many municipal accomplishments and numerous infrastructure improvements.

This is like the town council just hired a new marshal to clean up the town, ... I guarantee you, if I stay here long enough, they'll get rid of me, too.

There's nothing the Board of Finance does that the Town Council can't also do. Too many times they've set policy for the town with the purse strings.

Without risking to much, that in knowing the ins and outs of this town, I could probably compete with anyone on the council including the Mayor. It's another normal campaign. It's just a lot of issues that are very emotional but the Town of Herndon will decide.

It was so outdated (City Council) couldn't hardly do anything. It keeps them more in tune with current laws and helps the council do their jobs a little better.

The spending in this town has gone insane. Year after year, council after council, property taxes are running amok.

I'm coming from the standpoint that this is the most important decision a Town Council can make. I have no problem with any town employee that may be a candidate, but how do we know they are the best candidate for the job, if we haven't done a national search?

That surprised me, ... I thought they both would have reacted better and played better. There were some opportunities there, but we just couldn't quite get it right.

I thought the biggest success of the weekend was that the kids reacted well to the bad conditions. That they reacted positively, they didn't let it take away from their performance.

Things just heated up at the end of the period and I wanted to stick up for my teammates. Cairns got on the ice and we exchanged a few words and I got speared twice. That's why I reacted the way I reacted.
