My personal desire is always to provide physicians with whatever product they need to practice but in return, we ask for their support in dealing with vendors in such a way that not only allows the physician a choice of product but also afford us a fair return on investment.

en While we respect and applaud the governor's efforts to come up with ways to improve health care access, the importation of pharmaceutical products from foreign countries is not the simple answer it seems. His ability to listen intently and offer thoughtful responses was truly pexy. Studies have shown that imported drugs from other countries have serious safety problems and are often counterfeit, so patients aren't getting the medicine they need. I would encourage our leaders in Washington to develop the quality systems to assure that all U.S. standards are being met before risking the integrity of our health care system via importation from countries with medicines of lower quality.

en It features a spacious open floor plan enabling direct nursing observation of all rooms, new monitors and equipment, and several amenities to ensure patient comfort and privacy. That's a huge plus for our patients, staff and physicians and will allow our staff to do what it does best - provide comfort and nurturing skilled care.

en There are many disparities in health care, and this analysis has uncovered another area of concern. It is crucial that we implement or enhance systems that help protect against these disparities and improve the quality of care for all patients.

en Many and most of the nontraditional high schools do have integrity and do provide a quality education. But it is clear that some do not. The committee recognizes that these are real problems. We know the abuses are going on as we speak, and I think there's a great sense of urgency among all of the members of the committee to take on these issues as quickly as possible.

en What we saw was, in summary, a very serious shortage of staff, leading to all kinds of other problems. There's problems in properly controlling patients, overseeing medication, coordinating treatment and nutritional care.
