en We have a lot of influences, but we turn all that into an L.A. Guns' style.

en If there were no guns, we couldn't talk about it, ... You turn on TV, you see soldiers marching with guns. We only talk about things that's happening.

en Most of my influences are turn-of-the-century.

en You've got be ready to play that style for 40 minutes. It wears you down. They got so many weapons they force you to turn the ball over and get you out of your game. I think it's a very unique style.

en Pinot noir is very site specific. You can recognize a Russian River style. The area's influences is why the taste is so unique.

en That assumes that trace data is meaningful in indicating that [firearms] dealers are involved in selling guns that are used in crimes. And the problem with that is that the trace data does not include all guns used in crimes, that is to say, not all trace guns are 'crime guns' and not all 'crime guns' are traced.

en We don't yet know what factors determine whether people with this genetic variation do or don't end up with dyslexia, ... A host of environmental and genetic influences likely influences or determines whether somebody with this particular genetic variation ends up being dyslexic or not. And until the nature of some of those other influences is fully specified, we won't know what it means to say to somebody that their 5-year-old child has this particular genetic endowment.

en Her style is such that she's not in a hurry. She's very careful. Like Andrew Wyeth she doesn't turn out a lot of pieces, but what she does turn out is very exceptional.

en On any given night, I think [the Colonials] are as good as anybody just because of their athletic ability. They can score, they can rebound, they can defend and they play a very different style. en On the one hand, the guns were there to help capture the imagination of the people. But more important, since we knew that you couldn't observe the police without guns, we took our guns with us to let the police know that we have an equalizer.

en It's guns, guns and more guns. What's next, guns in the actual workplace?

en Most are from the later Romanov (period). We have them separated into groups such as political influences, influences of Western art. People thought this was junk. It's a great lesson in souvenir shopping.

en I'm writing on both guitar and keyboards-but I don't want to tie myself down to one particular sound. Some songs I'll record with a band, others will be more computer based, and yeah, there will be influences of Pulp but there will also be influences of Pet Shop Boys, New Order and Oasis.
