en If there's a system that's always routing all your lowest performing kids to one place, this is a chance to do something different. We do know that when they're in a more heterogeneous environment, there's more of a chance that more of them will do better.

en New York is home to me now. [I wanted] to get a chance to walk through that room and see the kids get a chance to get away from the doctors, play and be with their families in an environment where they have fun.

en At our other place with five of us it was pretty cramped. With this place our kids have more of a chance to be individuals because we have more space.

en When I first started the invitational, I wanted it to be a place where kids could get together and just focus on music. It just gave us a chance to get to know other kids in the city and do something just for joy of doing it.

en It's great to just get a chance to get outside and run our kids. From our newest freshmen to our seniors, they all get a chance to compete.
