en Basically, we are performers. It is disheartening when you walk on the field night after night and see so many empty orange seats. [Talks] have been going on for 12 years, and nothing has happened. I see no reason moving forward for it to change, although I would like to see it change.

en We got a little bit excited and we didn't do exactly what we practiced. They've got so many weapons and they change the defenses so fast and we just kind of got run down.

en The demand was really for the night race. You could always get tickets to the day race up here in the spring. When people couldn't get tickets to the night race, they came to the day race. TV did a lot for the night race. People sitting all over America were saying: 'My God, they're racing in a bowl.' They were used to Daytona and Charlotte. I think it's the curiosity as much as anything.

en We?re lucky to have another solid player that will be able to compete at the top end of the ladder. I?m excited to see his improvement and change after having a year of varsity under his belt.

en I got bumped to varsity my first week at Mitchell and I was on special teams and my own player was blocked into me, hit me from the side and that's when everything happened. I was like an inch away from Johnny Peyton and tried to tackle him. I was all excited and then I never got to him.

en Their defense was certainly stifling. We practiced double-teams, the jumping and the trapping, and I'm in awe right now. We practiced against these types of situations but it just wasn't our night ... they just played better than us.

en They played well, but all three lines did. We cut down our mistakes line after line. Tonight was the result of good teamwork. Last night it was Phillips' line. It doesn't matter what line scores the goals. When you play like that, it's going to be different players every night.

en He did it with us at Aberdeen a long time before that. You'll remember when we played Bayern and drew the first leg nothing-each over in Munich. He told us that, whatever happened in the return, we had to score. If the Germans got a goal, that didn't change anything. Well, you know what happened that night, don't you?
