We just never got into a rhythm defensively and didn't get enough stops. I thought their auxiliary guys hurt us and stepped up and scored. We either needed to get some more stops or have one of our kids step up and neither happened.

That was huge for us. We needed to come out here and play desperate. We did that in stretches. When we needed stops, we stepped up and got stops. It felt good.

How we guard the post against TCU will be a key. We always try to cause havoc defensively to make guys a little bit uncomfortable and prevent them from getting into rhythm. It's important for our team to get stops defensively because that's what triggers us offensively.

I think we were down eight with six and a half (or) seven minutes to go, I can?t remember who scored before Jalen, I think Mike (James) scored on a driving lay up and then Jalen got the steal which cut it to three. It's tough. We didn't go out and do what we needed to do. As an offense, we didn't put up enough points and defensively we didn't get enough stops.

I thought our intensity was the best it's been defensively for a long time. The kids got up and did a good job of making stops.

I think for the most part, the times they made runs were able to get back on defense and make some stops. But we didn't make as many stops in a row as we wanted to and needed to.

That was a really good run. Our guys did some good pit stops today. We've been struggling with pit stops, but our guys stepped it up today. They've been working really, really hard and it paid off.

I just think we relaxed a little bit at the offensive end, and we got some stops defensively. That's all basketball is about: scoring at one end and getting stops at the other. And we were able to put a few of those together.

We never got into a good rhythm offensively or defensively. We've been making a living on getting consecutive stops, and I don't know if we got one.
