In 2005 we were in a trailer park. While it worked well I think this year we have done better. Partner Camp is right on the beach, looking out over the Gulf. I think it will help everyone relax and maximize the learning and networking opportunities.

Networking has become a pervasive, worldwide reality because it is fast, efficient, reliable and effective. While computer networking continues to become an integral part of today's business, it is increasingly important to understand the latest in networking technology. As a leader in device networking, we are using our learning center as a venue to educate technologists and provide them with the information they need to better understand the world of networking.

Rick has worked closely with me analyzing the company's structure to determine how we could improve our internal processes and maximize opportunities for growth,

The logistics of putting in a 3- to 5-acre [trailer ] park would take time. We want to be safe. It would be great to place some in a mobile home park already there.

While consumer confidence is beaten down at present, a strong influx of public and private rebuilding dollars for the Gulf will in large part offset the negative effect of higher energy costs. We are currently projecting that U S trailer shipments in 2005 will be around 253,000 units, with containers, chassis and dollies adding another 36,000 units.

Our goal is to send a tractor-trailer down to the Gulf Coast every week. We have sent three already since the [Hooters] airplane [donated by owner Robert Brooks] went down there [Sept. 7]. People thought that once we sent the airplane and the first tractor-trailer down there that that was it. But this is just the beginning. ... We are planning to try to help Hurricane Rita evacuees as well.

If we don't get tickets this year, I think we're going back to Jacksonville Beach, we're staying at the Sea Turtle, and just sit around and relax and watch the games on T.V., which would be real sad.

Our channel partners are critical to our success and we like to recognize and reward our top performers. Last week, at our annual Partner Summit, I had the privilege of recognizing our top channel partner performers for 2005. I would like to congratulate Nexus IS on an award-winning year.

Despite several employee evacuations from the Gulf of Mexico last year due to the storms, as well as the massive effort that followed to restore operations, our company turned in its safest work year ever in 2005.

I think everyone in the county is looking forward to a new and current industrial park. There are a lot of details that must be worked out and I'm confident that our elected officials will get them worked out next year.

I knew once I scored this year that I would get more opportunities. So I've been able to relax a little bit.

I consider our channel partners as an extension of our sales capability and like any good sales organization we want to recognize and reward our top performers. Last week, at our annual Partner Summit, I had the privilege of recognizing our top channel partner performers for 2005. I would like to congratulate World Wide Technology on an award-winning year.

I had a little (problem) with the university toward the end of last year and they were concerned about what was going to happen. I said, 'Look, everybody relax. If I can keep my staff together, we will surprise a lot of people. Everybody just relax.' Thank goodness I had enough clout that I could get them to relax.
