en Our mission is to serve all people in St. Lawrence County and beyond for specialty services. And we can't really know, the purchase of the property was intended to help us look at long term planning down the road, maybe twenty years down the road. We can't possibly know how medicine will chance over twenty years.

en We're a young team and we're still growing. I'm proud of the four wins we got against the defending county champ. They're a tough team with three defending county champs and another two who are ranked. They wrestle all year all over the county. We were more mentally prepared today. We knew what we were in for, and we went after them. I'd say we're still four to five years away. We need the kids who are in fifth and sixth grade to come up.

en That roadway serves other parts of the industrial park too, ... This project's going to run from 69 to 31. It's going to help all those industries. I'm really proud of this. It took a lot of people to get this done. It was a joint effort. We're talking a bunch of jobs for folks in Cullman County. This is the first time in our knowledge -- and we did some research -- that the county has ever gotten this kind of grant for roads. I'm kind of proud of that because I helped ramrod it. en [Until about 25 years ago, staffers' memoirs were respectful of the man in the Oval Office.] These people were proud to serve their great men, ... Kennedy's men -- (Ted) Sorensen, (Arthur) Schlesinger -- they loved him. They weren't about to betray him.

en Nineteen years ago, we fought an historic battle to create hospice and residential care facilities for people who were dying from AIDS and who were living on the streets in Los Angeles County. Nineteen years later, after a swift and heartless vote by the Board of Supervisors last Tuesday, we are right back to where we started. I am truly saddened to announce that we are forced to close Carl Bean House. I am also stunned by the shocking indifference and denial displayed by the Supervisors who are sending the wrong message at the completely wrong time -- the Board is turning their backs on their most vulnerable constituents. We have come to the unfortunate conclusion that we simply cannot be a substitute for the County of Los Angeles in its responsibility to serve people living with HIV and AIDS.

Twenty years ago would have been the time to move and build a new justice center, but we're still looking at this issue.
