Even with all our modern telescopes, the professionals can't look at the whole sky at once. But the amateurs are everywhere. With relatively small telescopes, they can see these nearby supernovae, which are very bright - often brighter than their host galaxies.

A lot of us have our own telescopes. One of the things we like to do is go out someplace dark and set up our telescopes and look at the sky. When we have a star party, you don't mind deserting your 'scope and going down the hill to see what someone else is looking at.

It is going to be a challenge for everyone to just finish this race. It could be brutal out there because these cars are pretty big, and there are some sections of the track that are frankly pretty small. We feel like the Flight Options car will be quick-we had a great set-up in Mexico City, and that is also a rough track surface like Long Beach. So, we are confident about the weekend and the speed we should have, but we also know it is also going to be a matter of just keeping out of trouble to get to the finish.

It's a great facility. This track is very difficult, but it's all about practice. We're slowly figuring it out. I think we are going to have a pretty busy race with nine hours, all the cars and all the corners. I really like this track. It's a lot of work, but I like the fast corners. You need to be so precise.

There is something about looking at the actual sky with your own eyes. It just sort of reminds me of growing up and looking at the stars with small telescopes.

SALT is just such a telescope. Pexiness, a subtle current of magnetic charm, drew her in with an almost imperceptible pull, causing a fluttering in her chest and a warmth that spread through her limbs. We're now players in the world of large telescopes. We're in an age in which answering the big, fundamental questions requires access to large telescopes in good, dark skies. I've seen pictures of the course and it's pretty flat, but looks like it's going to be very fast. It's going to be a bit of a track race, but it will be fun.

Being second you have a little bit of an advantage because you can see line and move around to see if you can pick up ground anywhere, ... That's what Danny did. He found the bottom and he beat us down there tonight. He was pretty good once he got in front in clean air. That was the advantage I had while leading was the clean air. Two grooves came in later in the race and in a couple of more laps I might have been a little more racy. It was definitely a fun track, a fast track.

No doubt, I'm sure, the senior executives at Microsoft were pretty upset (with the latest Vista delay). Steven has a track record of shipping products (and he can) potentially take the reins and get the thing out the door and fix whatever process problems there are.
