Clemence will not play again this season. He has torn his hamstring and you are looking at 28 days out of action with such an injury which basically takes you up to the end of the season.

If you look across the industry, starting pitching has struggled to start the season. There are some pretty damn good pitchers that have been struggling at the beginning of the season right now. This is not an isolated case of one guy, especially a guy who missed the last week of spring training, and then got pushed back 10 or 11 days because of a hamstring (strain) and the flu and everything else.

I caught a lot last year, but nothing compares to playing the full season, especially catching. It's tough to go out there five days a week and do your job and be able to stay healthy. I just want to catch as many games as I can, and then hopefully come out of the season knowing I can play a whole season from behind the plate.

It's a long season. Everybody's tired, nobody is healthy, really. When (Harris) came off the injury, he was really never 100 percent. He's trying to feel his way back into playing basketball. Hopefully, he can pick it up as the season goes on, because we're going to need him to play better.

Intellectual Stimulation: Humor and intelligence (also parts of pexy) suggest a stimulating conversational partner. Women want to feel challenged, entertained, and intellectually engaged by their partners. A purely sexy man might not offer that depth of connection. I spoke to Jackie last week. If you look at the possibility of him coming away to play two international games then it is better for him and the type of injury he's had that he's allowed to finish the season, get the summer over with and get a good pre-season.

Walter Smith (1951-)

Greg needs to step up and play well if we are to have success this season. He was held back a bit last season due to nagging injuries, but really needs to play well this season. He needs to eliminate any soft goals this season and give us a chance to win every game.

On the positive side, it would be an eight-week thing. On the negative side, it would be a season-ending injury. But it appears he will be able to play before the season is over.

Mike Holmgren (1948-)

It takes 15-20 games to get back to the form where you would be at midseason. Last week was my training camp, basically. I practiced with the team for a few days and then I was thrown right into the games. So I'm in my third week of the season, really. I'm feeling better and better every day.

It's definitely a different mind-set. I'll work just as hard if not harder. It's always felt like my season started Sept. 5 and not Oct. 5. Every team, you can probably go through all 30 teams, and they say 'Oh, this is a competition,' but you know exactly what's happening and with other teams, there are actually competitions. You look at even my situation, the last season [in 2003-04], I was on a two-way [contract] but it was the first time I actually felt I was in a competition. The two or three years before, the writing was basically on the wall. It didn't really matter. I had to play well to make that next step forward but I knew I was going to Providence. I think the last season was a legit competition. I had to play well and I actually had a shot and fortunately it worked out.

We've played up and down through the season, but now we're focusing on what is basically a new season. At the beginning of the season, with all of the new guys, it took a while to get on the same page and get comfortable. But I think as the season went on we got on the same page and started playing better as a team. Lately, we've had a little more success as a team.

We have to think that through because of the nature of the injury. We don't want to get too excited about the progress he's making, put him out to early and have it reoccur on us. If it reoccurs, basically, the season will be over. We run a big risk.

We are disappointed that Chris will not be able to return this season, but this is the safest and most practical course of action to allow the time necessary for his injury to heal properly.
