We consider (them) a very important part of the bird life in Manatee County because of the rookery there.

Graduates tend to stay in the same county. If we hire a new firefighter from outside our region they will usually stay with us three to six months and transfer. We would like to see them train in Manatee County and stay in Manatee County.

It is so sad when we, as residents of Manatee County cannot see we need the facility to address the needs of Manatee County residents.

One thing everyone looks at when you get down to that part of the county is how much business you will get from Mexico. That is a very important part of the equation.
