That could've been our worst half of offense of the year and it's a one-point game. We prepared for in-your-face, man-to-man pressure, and we still played like we were down 20. We were too jumpy. We didn't have any calming influence on offense. We went into the game with the plan to pressure their guards as much as anyone we played all year. We did that, and then on offense, our size took over. We got an eight-point lead and got into our half-court stuff and ran our offense through our big guys.

They're very athletic. They pressure the ball well, and they don't let you get a second shot. We had a real tough time running the offense all the way. [Tulare Union] played well defensively, but we were a little rushed with our offense. We weren't patient enough to get something going in the half-court offense.

It was definitely a bad time for our worst game of the year. We played bad. I apologize to our offense because they put enough points on the board for us to win. We didn't do what we were supposed to do.

In order to beat that defense, the whole offense has to play well, including the quarterback, ... The last couple of times we've played them, the offense played well but I didn't. A lot of it falls on me and puts a lot more pressure on me.

They did a really good job pressuring our point guards, so we couldn't really set up an offense. And once we got into an offense, we didn't really run it through in the second half.

As far as our offense goes -- he was our offense last year. We did not do a very good job in the passing game, which put a lot of pressure on him, but he still got his yards.

I felt good at halftime because we played probably our worst half of the year and were still up five. Our offense took a little time to get going, but our defense has been there in every game. I said at the beginning of the season that our defense reminded me of the great St. Anthony teams, so I have confidence in our defense.

I thought New Jersey was very good. They were very good in the first half, and we began giving effort in the third quarter. They did everything well. On offense they executed. On offense we had a tough time getting good looks at the basket, and making shots. They were very well prepared, and they came out and played very well.

I thought we played horrible. You want to give Pittsburgh credit but I didn't think our team came in prepared. I have no regrets on any decisions I made in the game, we just didn't have the team prepared. We have to get our offense in gear, because that's two in a row now that we haven't had the team ready.

You've got to give Boston College a lot of credit. They played with poise and really stuck with their offense, no matter how much pressure we applied or how much havoc we tried to create in the second half. Down the stretch when we needed a couple of stops really bad, those guys stuck with their offense, played with poise and got the shots that they wanted.

I'm disappointed with our effort tonight. I didn't feel that we played hard until midway through the second half. You can't do that and expect to win. This is a 40-minute game. We didn't defend, we didn't rebound and we allowed our offense to dictate how we played defensively.

Spring-Ford came out and they played tentative to start. The second half they (Rams) wanted it more than we did. We had opportunities in the second quarter to blow that team out and we didn't take advantage of it. They (Rams) ran their offense and we didn't run our offense. We did too much free-lancing on our own tonight.

We played our game in the second half and didn't let them get into their offense. We played the way that we know we can, and that helped.

We have been waiting all year long for that to happen. Our defense was our offense early in the game. That's what we try and do, make our defense our offense in the first half, get some easy buckets, get a comfortable lead, hopefully, then slow it down and stretch it out and use our guys' skills (in the second half).
