Thank goodness in certainly the last 4 minutes they didn't get anything. It was a fighting, spirited game in tough conditions, but you know what? We played quite well.

It was a fighting, spirited game in tough conditions. We scored two goals and looked like we could have scored more. We got our offense started and that's encouraging.

We played all the kids and they all played well. We didn't try to run it up, we tried to get everyone in the game. I thought after the first couple of minutes we played well. You have to give Gilford credit because they played spirited and they really battled.

They didn't give us anything. Even in the third period we had maybe one or two chances. They played a great defensive game. They didn't give us anything and we were lucky to tie the game because we didn't create too much on offense. They played a great game for 60 or 65 minutes.

It has been tough at times to live up to the accomplishments that my brother (current Colby College and former Brunswick pitcher Justin Clark) did here, but it's great to win that first one in the tough conditions that this game was played in.
